Tim Staley
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and AML Officer
Tim Staley brings more than 35 years of deep expertise in financial services to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Anti-Money Laundering Officer.
Tim began his career at Charles Schwab & Company, where he spent 16 rewarding years advancing through a series of leadership positions. Starting as a Branch Representative, he progressed to Branch Manager, Division Sales Director, Head of National Sales and Strategy, and ultimately Leader of National Sales Operations. In these roles, he honed his ability to build high-performing teams, design effective sales strategies, and deliver exceptional client experiences at scale.
In 2005, Tim joined Wells Fargo Wealth Management and The Private Bank as Leader of Sales Operations and Strategy. There he supported more than 10,000 financial professionals across brokerage, private banking, trust, and fiduciary services, driving operational excellence and strategic growth during a dynamic period in the industry. He retired from Wells Fargo in 2011 after a distinguished tenure.
Known for his steady leadership, commitment to compliance and risk management, and genuine focus on people, Tim combines institutional knowledge with a collaborative approach that puts clients and colleagues first. His extensive background enables him to guide the firm through complex regulatory landscapes while keeping day-to-day operations efficient, secure, and client-centered.
Tim joined Capital Synergy Partners as a Principal in 2012 and moved into his current role in 2025.
